Advocacy and Representation
Act as the voice of farmers in Sierra Leone, advocating for policies and initiatives that support the needs and rights of farmers. Represent farmers' interests at national and international forums, collaborating with government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
Collaboration and Partnerships
Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations, research institutions, and the private sector to create synergies for the development of the agricultural sector. Form partnerships that facilitate access to resources, technology, and markets for farmers.
Farmers' Welfare
Work towards improving the socio-economic conditions of farmers, addressing issues such as access to credit, healthcare, and social services. Implement initiatives that promote gender equality and the inclusion of marginalized groups in agriculture.
Market Access and Value Chain Development
Facilitate market linkages for farmers, promoting fair trade practices and ensuring that farmers receive a fair share of the value chain. Support the development of agricultural value chains to enhance the competitiveness of farmers in local and global markets.
WHY WORK WITH US
We reach real farmers, at scale. Through our network of cooperatives and associations, NaFFSL connects partners directly to smallholder farmers across Sierra Leone, not just in the capital, but in the communities where “Feed Salone” has to succeed.
We are trusted on both sides. Farmers see us as their advocate; government and development agencies see us as a credible, organized counterpart. That dual trust lets us translate policy into practice, and practice into policy feedback.
We are built for partnership. We actively seek collaboration with government ministries, Agencies, financial institutions, development banks, and other stakeholders to design farmer-friendly financial products, joint agricultural projects, and funding for infrastructure and value-chain development.
We think beyond the harvest. Our work spans productivity, cooperatives, finance, value addition, policy, and environmental sustainability because farmers’ challenges don’t come one at a time, and neither should the solutions.
